John Cummuta
John
Cummuta offers a downloadable Transferring Debt into Wealth Book for
$39.95 and if you aren't satisfied for any reason within a year he will
pay your $39.95 back plus another $39.95.
John
Cummuta will however ask you to write a personal descriptive
letter/email to explain why you were not satisfied with his product.
Here is what one person has to say about John Cummuta's money back guarantee;
January 18, 2008: Linda R from Virginia.
I ordered a John Cummuta CD from the radio but I had to go
out of town and got busy for the next few weeks. Needless to say the 30
days lapsed and when I called today I was told I could not cancel
because I was beyond the 30 days. I told them I no longer wanted this
service and I was informed that I could not return the product and that
I would continue to be charged the monthly rate for 4 more months! I
did not want the service, but no dice. The best they could do was to
eliminate the last monthly charge---big deal. I have not even opened up
any of the folders. I am tempted to call or notify Clark Howard. Has
anyone else had this experience?
Hey what happened to that 1-year money back guarantee? This kind of blows that out of the water.
Lets see what else people have to say about him.
November 4, 2005: Frank A. from California.
After ordering John Cummutas program in May, I never
received the product. However his company continued to pull out 5
payments at a cost of $80 dollars per month.
I called his company and they gave me a phone number to
call. After calling the customer service department and speaking to the
most rude survive rep. who stated to me that they were not going to
give my money back and that the package was delivered to me by FedEx at
a time that I am not home from work.
The
reason John Cummuta calls this Transforming Debt into Wealth is it does
just that; it transfers funds from your account into John's account and
presto no more debt. (For John anyway) I would like to tell you to stay
away from John Cummuta products as you may suffer the same fate as I
have.
March 12, 2008: John P. from Providence, RI
I downloaded the Turning Debt Into Wealth program and
listened to all the audio. The system makes complete sense and would
probably set off a light bulb in your head.
Although, I did get a call from Prosper Learning shortly
after and they wanted me to purchase a mentoring program from them for
$8,000 to $14,000 dollars. I could not believe it; what a scam! (Legal
I'm sure)
February 1, 2008: Wayne W from MD.
John Cummuta talks in length about the magic of compound
interest but fails to consider it when he says you can pay a $100,000
mortgage off in 50 months by adding that extra $1,000 to your current
$1,000 monthly mortgage payment.
He forgets to say that the mortgage balance still accrues
interest and in fact it will take you 68.1 months to pay off the
mortgage in his example or another one and a half years from what John
illustrates.
John Cummuta's methods work best for those with several
credit card balances at extremely high rates like 19 or 20%.
Of course at those extreme interest rates any extra money
will pay down the debt quicker. And moving that minimum payment to the
next high credit card will again reduce debt.
On the other hand look at a situation of someone with a
$300,000 30 year mortgage at 6.25% and a home $64,000 equity line at
5.2% rate amortized over 30 years.
The person makes $100,000/year. At 10% the debt accelerator is an extra $1,000 to put towards reducing debt.
It will take 47 months to pay off the equity line and then
another 123 months to pay the mortgage. That's over 14 years to be debt
free.
That's is a far cry from the promised 5-7 years, and my example is at extremely low interest rates.
Some how Mr. Cummuta's arithmetic doesn't work!
March 12, 2008: Lynda from WI.
After you receive his materials, John Cummuta offers
coaching programs. Using a high-powered sales pitch that forces you to
decide NOW, he scams even more money out of people already in trouble
financially.
One year, one call per week, is $15,000. Yep, you read that
right, $15,000. Six months is $13,000 and three months is $7095.
He promises that before the coaching is done your coach will have helped you recoup the cost.
Yeah, right!
He takes people in financial trouble and promising to help, makes their situation worse.
December 30, 2007: Bridgette from Lakewood, Ohio
I got the John Cummuta package for $10.
While reviewing and going through it, I found it's nothing
more than another get rich quick scheme...for John Cummuta.
If you are in debt, I mean, really deep debt, and are
looking for a way out, do you think that $69.95 a month for 3 months
will help or hinder you?
A debt consolidator in your neighborhood (I believe) is the
only true solution to the problem. Not $210 for a "doubtful" system
that may or may not work and remember, you are still OUT the $220
(which includes shipping for the package) which is even more debt.
If John Cummuta is so wealthy, why can't he come up with a
better solution than asking poor folks, who are barely squeezing
through life, to give him, $220? I do not believe what he has to offer
is any different than all the other "wealthy" offers out there. I get
tons a day.
How can they all make money, except from us poor people who have a hard time making it as it is?
I believe the system should be free and if it doesn't work, say after 90 days, then yes, you owe the money.
Unfortunately,
30 days is barely enough time for people who have such large debt to
get everything together, especially when we're working, trying to help
our kids out, etc.
March 29, 2008: JC from Boulder, CO.
I joined John Cummuta's first attempt at peddling his
simplistic method of debt elimination in 1997. It was called FINL, and
it cost me a fortune.
By the way, it is no longer in existence.
Now he is touting this new scam, and I somehow ended up on
his marketing list. Now I receive ad materials from him constantly, in
spite of numerous requests to be taken off the list.
If you click on the link "to be removed from this list," it
takes you to a pop-up screen where you have to type in your email
address TWICE, then the "submit" button fades, and there is no way to
opt-out of his annoying emails.
Lets see what we have learned about John Cummuta.
1 When you get on John Cummuta's e-mail list it's almost impossible to get off of even after 11 years.
2 John Cummuta's money back guarantee seems to be a crock of . . . BS
3 John's $39.95 downloadable Transferring Debt into Wealth
Book is just a lead-in to get you to buy more expensive programs
4 John Cummuta's math doesn't really add up when he is talking about getting out of debt in 4 to 5 years.
I
think I'll just keep my money and use it to pay off MY debts instead of
letting him use it to pay HIS off and I hope you do the same.
