Jay Abraham
I recently decided to try and make some extra money, what with the way things are right now, I could sure use it.
The question was how to do it without losing money.
I decided the best thing to do was try one of the "make easy money" hyperlinks I see all over the internet.
I picked one and this is what I discovered.
I found when I went to the first of the websites ran by a person who has bought into this "free money for little or no work".
"I sell this membership for over $350, but I can get you in for free."
Now this sounded good to me because the program is one of Jay Abraham`s and his programs are expensive.
However while I was looking at the site a pop-up came up telling me "If you apply RIGHT NOW I can get you a 10% discount."
Wait a 10% discount on a free offer? What are they going to do pay me money to sign-up?
After
reading how it was free and being told if I signed up "RIGHT NOW" I
would get a 10% discount, I still haven`t figured that out, I thought I
should check around and see what other people had to say about Jay.
It didn`t take long to find out all I needed to know about Jay and his programs.
Michael from Austin, Tx USA, on another site wrote this about his experience with Jay;
"I attended Jays program in LA about ten years ago. My grandpa gave me the cash $10,000.00.
I never really got it, it was too much info and it was over my head. I
would consider myself an average guy, I'm not stupid. Jay started his
dog and pony show with the statement that if anyone wasn't sure about
what was going on you could have your money back, but when I tried to
leave, I was told a refund check would be sent.
The mistake I made was thinking that holding the materials from the
program hostage until gramps got his money back would make a
difference.
Well he never did get his money back and I never sent back the 100
pounds of books and tapes.
Gramps died never seeing a refund, and in fact he was harassed, over
the phone by a collection agent to pay the other $15,000.00.
Which thank God he did not send it in. I feel that Jay is a liar and a cheat, because that's what happened to me.
The only way he made money in our situation was by ripping off poor old people and not so bright young people.
I've tried every means possible to get the money but to no avail. The
saddest part for me, was to see my trusting grampa burned so bad so
late in his life and I helped it happen and wasn't able to make it
right before he died.
If you think you want to be in a business designed to add value to thin air Jay Abraham is the guy for you."
Wow, that`s a pretty strong reason to not sign up with Jay.
Here`s another one;
James from California wrote,
"Jay isn`t a crook, but his taking ownership of other people's
knowledge and original ideas and claiming them as his own is
disingenuous to say the least.
Having
registered for one of his programs and being totally disappointed with
a bunch of tapes from delegate members explaining how they obtain
referrals and profits amongst a lot of discussion about lunch breaks
and heating problems in the room.
And then after deciding his material was clearly not his nor original
I`m having a huge difficult getting the 'airtight' refund he promises
too.
My recommendation, don't believe his hyperbole and treat yourself to
Claude Hopkins book available on Amazon for about 12 bucks, it contains
85% of the ideas Jay Proclaims."
This guy had the sense to read up on the subject before taking the program and it sounds like he still got burned.
Ok, one more and I` ll stop boring you with Jay, because between you
and me I`ve made up my mind about investing in his program.
Victor from Utah, USA. wrote,
Jay Abraham's material is familiar to anybody that received bulk mail
advertising in the 1970's. However, for today's educated consumer, his
material just comes across as schlocky.
People
WANT to trust someone that has what they want. But reading JA's
material brings up an image of a bad used car salesman in a plaid suit
and funny sunglasses.
Modern advertising copy is more conversational - the copy should feel like you're reading a letter from a trusted friend.
JA's material was all the rage 30 years ago - but in the Internet age, his stuff smells as bad as 30 year old shoes.
Just one man's opinion!"
Well
I don`t know about you but what the three people above wrote about
their experiences with Jay pretty much tells me NOT to take the "free"
offer, with the 10% discount, and keep my money in my pocket until I
can find someone I can trust.
Thanks for reading this and I hope I`ve saved you some time and trouble in your quest to make some extra money.
