Bosswake Inc. -- I started Boss Towers in Late
1999. We manufacture
wakeboard towers and accessories for the wakeboarding industry. For
those of you into wakeboarding, you may know me. For those who are not,
my name is
Rio Morales. I have formed and sold several companies in the
past, and have been self employed for 18 years.
The
wakeboarding industry, although fun, is extremely seasonal. The
industry shuts off like a faucet in October and turns on in March.
During peak season the work hours are long, very competitive, the
liabilities are huge. For those self employed in any industry out
there, you know what I mean. The liabilities far out weigh the fun in
business. For example: workers compensation, liability insurance,
payroll, work accidents, fuel, mortgage payments on buildings, the
laundry list goes on.
Don't
get me wrong. I do not mind working hard and hitting the rat race
heavy. But for the last 18 years, I felt there has to be a better way
to reduce the huge liabilities and bring back the fun in making money
with less stress. When the season ended for the 7th year in a row, I
had plenty of time to research easier ways to make a living and reduce
the liabilities and stress. After four months of research, looking for
a business that can actually provide a great income, I believe I have
found it.
